I heard Norman Thomas over | I heard Norman Thomas over WDAE before I got dinner and I heard President Roosevelt after, then Ray Chapman Andrews - whom I admire immensely - and Governor Lehman dedicate the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial in N.Y.C. Static is very bad today and listening is a punishment rather than a pleasure. Thomas made a very fine talk, and his presence I hope will stimulate the Tampa people to demand prosecution of the sluggers. He could not include policies in his speech today, but he put in some big whacks against Capitalism. |

Yes, I'd like sometime to read some of your literary efforts, but not now. I have too little time to myself to really enjoy what I read, and in fact, I've read nothing but periodicals since I came here.
