Cleared off this morning + the mud dried during the day - To night it is clear + cold - The [[unclear]] has [[unclear]] 20 inches I am told + some of the guns at the [[unclear]] near under water.
 
- Have not spent much time at the office - Surgeon Mc[[unclear]] ordered in anest. by [[unclear]] Canby - no news - Now [[unclear]] the enemy with the [[unclear]] - Mr. Elom playing cards + - Sam the dress parade of the 65th tonight - level [[unclear]] confounded that his rifle had no wood + -[[unclear]] I am [[unclear]] cleaning my carbines
