I promised that after breakfast I would pay him & his party a visit, which I did he doing the honors of introducing me to the Chief, Campos; there were only four or five families of them there, all busily employed drying over slow fires venison & beef, so as to preserve & render it more portable for travelling; they were pretty good looking, but somewhat dirty.
