Anna would like very much to have you have that music book. We will send it soon; are sorry it has been neglected so long. I don’t know what to say about what you propose in your letter to me. I am most afraid our people cannot be raised up to do much. They were very backward in giving money though Mr. Phillips went around from house to house. Last Sunday night Gwen told me that she was homesick for you. You used to go there so often. She said John was expecting to hear from you. He says you promised to write. I must go and give Anna her morning bath. We are all pretty well. | ||

Thomas is going to the village this morning with our tubs of butter so I thought I would write a few words and send this trusting it will be better than no letter at all.
