Dear Aunties | We received a few days ago Aunt Jennie's postal card bringing the sad news of dear Aunt Sarah's death. It was not unexpected for Hattie had written how very feeble she was several times. She also sent me one of your letters to her written a few days before. How very beautiful it was for her to be so calm and fearless while waiting for death to come, so feeble and still no anxiety for the result, trusting all to Jesus. It is like what I remember of her. I was glad Johny could be with you in following her to the grave and wish I might have been there too. | ||

Lewiston, Maine, Feb 24 1882 Dear Aunties
We received a few days ago Aunt Jennie's postal card bringing the sad news of dear Aunt Sarah's death.
