I have felt it due to you & to myself to be perfectly frank. that our affectionate relations be not disturbed. And now to business pure & simple I have the prospect of an investment in some coal lands which may (or not) prove very valuable. You want your money about the 1st (say ) of July. By that time if nothing happens, I will have $2000 or $3000 which I can let you have ( besides making the coal investment) It must be understood that the loan to you is for the benefit of Sis Molly, & that the payment or non payment of interest is to be a purely business transaction & must in no way disturb our affectionate situation, no matter what action may be necessary in the business. Bob is my trustee & atty, & with this understanding all round, I can let you have the money.
