MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1864.
Co. B. 25th left for town and Co. H [[unclear]] came in and took their place. I put my Co on guard: as Capt Smiths men were tired marching


Leo B. 25th left for town and Leo [[unclear]] cane in and took their place. I [[unclear]] [[unclear]] on guard. As [[unclear]] and Smiths mom were tried [[anarching?]].

Went to Seabrook saw Capt Woodward on Jenkins Island. Read a mail. A letter from Mrs. Fars saying she heard her husband had been wounded in a battle & wished to hear from him.

Lieut. Easton came up with me last night. Co. K. came up late in the evening. My co is to finish the fort and afterwards to occupy it. Lt Custer came this far on his way to his Co at Braddocks Point
Went to Leafrook saw [[Lealt?]] [[unclear]] on [[Host?]] Mitchell. Read a mail [[unclear]] from Mrs. Fars saying she heard her husband had been [[unclear]] in a battle [[unclear] I hear from him.

Sient, [[unclear]] came [[unclear]] with me last night. Leo K. came in late in the evening. My co is to [[unclear]] the lost and afterwards to [[unclear]] it. It [[unclear]] came this far ton his way to his co at [[Bradolock's?]] Point!
