Lieut Dalgliesh reced a furlough for 10 days. Went down town & got a picture taken in citizens dress. An order came in the evening for the "Commandant of 150th Reg Cor of 15 & I sts," to report his command t the Provost marshalls office.

Went to Congress. The bill for raising negro regiments was before the House [[unclear]] over. In the Senate Garrett Dan's made a speech on the "Habeas Corpus" question. This was the day Senator Saulsbury of Del created the trouble.
