I do believe that he will soon recover, without medicines, or doctors; only give Nature a fair chance which she certainly has not yet had. He has taken medicines enough to kill most any body. Wash them the poison medicines out with pure water.

Help encourage & interest his mind in this, and assist him in it. He ought to have greater conveniences for Bathing. And more water. That little bowl of water is not enough; why not have a pail full of water in his room to wash in?  Let it be pure water too; perhaps not quite so cold as It comes from the well; that is if it chills him; but still fresh not long standing. He better too, {as all who wish to preserve or regain health} be somewhat particular about his diet. Great attention to general health. state of bowels &c. &c. Purify the breath, use charcoal, and that Tooth powder. Have the health perfect and Nature free to use all her resources to heal the weakness. I hardly believe in [[unclear]], or too much cold any way, or any violent remedies: they have been tried enough. Mildness, Leave the cure to Nature. She will do it well; only give her a fair chance.
