We expect Mary Evans here next week to sew. - she has just been to Utica to get the fashions. Ann Roberts has given up business (they say she's going to be married). John B has not yet gone into business again and he has had time to see to this little matter perhaps.

  Little Eddie told me today that David Price said he might have his little Mary and "I'm going" to call her Mate," he added slyly.
  We put the seeds into our hot beds today - it is so warm and pleasant that it almost seemed uselees to make hot beds, but it may grow cold again Eddie and I got a great bunch of spring beauties - last Tuesday I think and we brought some more in today.

The snow left us without rain this spring - it went fast and we had pleasant bright weather - the roads are quite good now - considering nothing has been done to them yet - Eddie and I took Amelia Evans home Thursday after the Cen. were all sewed - and Lyle carried us along quickly; and smoothly almost as in the summer season - the little leaves begin to open their eyes on the trees - truly the winter is past and gone. - We thought of you so much as we were at work on the hot-bed today - and wished you could help us make garden. Give much love from us all to your good friends - May God bless and keep you Eliza is with us yet - perhaps she will stay all summer - it would make it much easier for Sarah and Mother. - The Methodists have just settled their ministered for the year - Mr. Flint leaves and goes to Lee I think - he preaches for the last time in the village tomorrow I do not know the name of the one who takes his place here -
