When you left Bangor, & for what, how you left the people, & the [[?ens?]] where, how, & for what you went, your success, prospects &c. In fact why should you not write whatever you knew about yourself or any body else, which you knew would interest me. Such a course would have been decent, reasonable, gentlemanly, and brotherly. Your course is to be sure better than not writing at all. But is it right to do well when you are so abundantly able to do better

My present condition and prospects are favorable. I am a Resident Engineer  at Northfield, now the principal office of the Vt. & Mass. R.R.  My success & advancement have been beyond my expectations, circumstances having been most propitious.
