Yours of yesterday, is recd I suppose you were disappointed in not finding your mother at Bangor and she would have been disappointed if she had found you, our news would have been unexpected. I hope Lucy is comfortable and she has our earnest prayers that she may recover also that her child may live, though on that score we have doubts - hope you will keep us advised of her situation at least twice a week and oftener is necessary - If you have recd my letter of the 28th with a budget of apple you know the reason your mother did not go to Bangor, if you have not recd it you'll find it at the Franklin house - your mother continues about the same as when I wrote - no worse and we hope a little better - I shall be down most week tell John - Mr Hamlin says that Robert Stewart owes him $200 - $50 payable now he thinks Stewart would like to turn out 1/2 dozen or a dozen pairs first rate thick boots and that he (Hamblin) would like to take them provided you think you can sell them for cash what you could not sell I think this would take again let me know this week P.P.
