[left-hand side]  now for the bright side we all enjoy good health {Tho' I have been almost useless for a fortnight past with rheumatism in my back}  C. has got a good well dug & started a new pump in [[?]] in the backroom. which might cost 50 or 60 dollars " a good job well over,, a necessary built & Joseph has engaged the school at the corner for 3 1/2 or 4 months at 20 per month and board himself - has got him a coat expect [[?]] and Mrs. Foss here this week to make it up.
