Dear Mother & friends I will just add a word to this though I have not now much time.  I want very much to hear all particulars about Lucy and you all.  I know you cannot have time to write much but tell Mallie I do so want to hear more particularly & ask her to write  We have been much discouraged about Lucy but now we cannot help but indulge hope  The name of the little one meets with much favor here.  I am so glad you take all the care of it. I trust health & strength will be given you according to your need.  It is very trying to me that I cannot be there  any news from you if but a few lines every day or two is the only satisfaction there is for us after
