My leisure from business has been only to read the Newspapers & to write to Ettie--By the way, you have plenty of time to read this summer & I hasn't. Why do you not read some books which JJ have read, & you have not, and write to me about them? Would it not be a good plan for both of us? To be sure I have been obliged to read some sermons myself Now - think of it--how I do need an Ettie to take care of me I am getting still more careless about going to Meeting keep me good--I do not know but I ought to have gone down to Meeting today.--but then I was tired & sleepy and did not feel a bit like Reading a long hard sermon to em.
