Miss Dean & I are at Mr. Bowman's A very pleasant family consisting of wife and two little boys, George & Charles. God has been our helper & that we could praise him enough. | ||

God may this event be sanctified to us and to the people of the boat. Never were we placed before in circumstances so perplexing - requiring so much need to Christian counsel and advice, but we feel that we have done right and if we have, God will bless for he has promised it. | ||
Attended Mr. Fisher's meeting in the forenoon - an excellent sermon from Prov. 4 - 23 Keep thy heart with all dilligence far out of it &c. 1 Keep the heart like a temple. 2 Keep the heart like a treasure - money 3 Keep the heart like a garden 4 like a watch - wind it daily with prayer & set it by the dial of the sun of righteousness 5. Keep it as a general would an army. 6 As we would a guilty prisoner. In the afternoon heard Mr. Harrington the Baptist from Rev 12, 10-11. It was their communion - we left - three baptist sisters and come out - felt badly Hope we may not be finally separated. The minister invited "those of sister churches built on this foundation to remain". It has been a happy Sabbath though I have thought with of regret of those on the boat & wish we were all here, and God knows what is best and will provide & direct. | In the afternoon heard Mr. Harrington the Baptist from Rev 12, 10-11.
