I attend the sewing Circle of the Third Parish the ladies have undertaken truly a great work, no less than to make all the cushions of the new church 144 in number  Mr. Jewett spends his time on each Tuesday in doing the harder portion of the work a man is employed to fill and stuff them, and all the rest is done by the ladies, and resolute and energetic they are: several cushions are completed and look as well as any could wish; two lb. on each cushion is thus saved. It has been the week of public Examinations of Schools: - Isaac will be interested to know that I was in Mr. Worester's yesterday - heard a dozen or two boys recite in Latin and Greek; they did themselves much credit.

I think she is eminently calculated to do good from her abilities and missionary spirit, but I fear her health is hardly firm enough to warrant so much responsibility and labor. She can try however and her mother says she is quite desirous of going. It will be to you like having a sitter there. I am glad to hear such good account of her brother. Lizzie Doe and myself were thinking about going to Chicago to teach; some friends of hers have sent desiring us to go with promising prospect of success.
