29th This has been a busy day. We went out and bought a can of potted ham & then stipped in a cafe, where with some of this with bread & a cup of [[Crossout chocolate]] coffee, we made quite a respectable breakfast. At 12 o'clock we took a carriage & went round to Minister Foster's for Breakfast. Had a splendid breakfast, & visit until four, when we went by appointment to visit President Dias [sic], Mr. Richardson, Secretary of Legation, & Mr Foster
