My chief excursions have been to the back where thru the kind services of a friend of Mr, [?Holms'?] I have been able to get at least some money. Today I ate at [?Eberspaches?] & had a waiter who is "waiting" while studying medicine. - the 1 mark? ?Scheins? are a present from him.
