[[unclear]] of giving reasons for not having written sooner- just as if it mattered! No wonder I have to laugh.
But there's another reason too that you will understand so well that I dont intend ever again to say anything to you about a delay in any reply- and that is that I am caught in this New York city,  American rush. Not all for mere money-making, though- let me say that much in my own behalf. They gave me the American Institute of Graphic Arts medal last Thursday evening for my work during the past few years in advancing that cause; and, of course, that work has added a [[let?]] to the "rash".
The last thing has been the putting on and handling of [[a?]] new "Fifty Prints" show. You appreciate [[and?]] and sympathize with "modern" art so I'll send you a copy of the catalogue. That labored, perfectly uninspired introduction to the catalogue kept me up until 1 o'clock more than one night, to say nothing of all the other details- all tucked into the days of trying to be an advertising man.
