Grievances of Laundresses and Washerwomen

This text is a list of grievances written on behalf of laundresses and washerwomen in Marseille. The document is divided into two parts. The first outlines the importance the list of grievances has in reforming the nation, as well as the responsibility that French citizens have in making their voice heard and participating in the assemblies that compiled the lists. The second part outlines the main grievance of these women, which deals with tampered soap that they buy in order to perform their services. According to them, they are being cheated and therefore cannot profit from their work. They also go on to state that this injustice has a negative effect on the economy and infrastructure of the rest of the country.
